Dominican House of Studies
Pontifical Faculty of the Immaculate Conception

The Dominican House of Studies, located in Washington D.C., is a school of theology. Founded in 1905, it has served the theological education of the Dominican Friars of St. Joseph Province.

In 1941, the Vatican designated it the Pontifical Faculty of the Immaculate Conception, and authorized it to grant degrees in sacred theology in the name of the Holy See.

Since 1970, as part of the Washington Theological Consortium, it has educated both religious and laity. It is fully accredited by the Association of Theological Schools and by the Committee on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools.
